Tasting note: (with thanks to Doug Barzelay). Moderately golden color. A positively gorgeous nose of orange and tangerine peel combines with floral and spice hints that introduce utterly delicious and strikingly textured large-scaled flavors that possess the same wonderful depth on the mouth coating and lingering finish. This is seriously lovely wine and is exactly what you would expect from a great example of Bâtard at 20+ years of age. If I had to choose one aspect that is perhaps the most interesting it would be the texture that is absolutely sublime. Tasted several times in the 1990s but this is the first time in many years.
